Pokal preview: VfB Lübeck v VfB Stuttgart
By: Pete | September 23rd, 2009Another day, another competition. Stuttgart take on 4th division side VfB Lübeck today away from home. I don’t really expect much of a challenge here, and apparently neither does Lübeck’s trainer:
“Generally speaking, we’re not expecting to have much of a chance. The odds of us winning this one are at about 1%! Only if VfB Stuttgart have a very bad day and we have an extremely good one, do we have any chance of beating Markus Babbel’s men.”

He’s a realist I guess. They did knock off Mainz earlier in the tourney though. Either way this better be a quick affair with no drama in advancing to the next round. Not much more to report on the matter, other than that Lehmann won’t be attending due to disciplinary reasons. What better way to comfort yourself after a crap performance against Cologne than to hit up Oktoberfest? I can’t really hold it against him. He claims it was for a charity event. Hmmm.
On top of that he injured himself in training, though it doesn’t seem to be serious.
No predictions this time around. Just a win.

Fairly lucky to get out of there with that one. Pure stamina won it, I think.
